The My Reel Club™ was also present at the 2022 HiFi Show on 22-23 October at the Crowne Plaza in Budapest. In the uncertainty of the post-pandemic economic crisis, we didn't really know how many people would turn up to such an event in 2022, but to everyone's surprise, we and the other exhibitors were sold out almost all the time. We are very grateful to the thousands of other hobbyists who visited us, because they reinforced our determination to organise such innovative events in the future.

On 24-25 June we held the technical presentation of Juhász Gábor Trio's album Palents, where the composer and the technical crew shared their experiences and impressions of the recording process and lessons learned from their own perspectives with an attentive and enthusiastic audience.

Thanks to free software and the devices that come with a measuring microphone, and a strong fashion wave, many people are now measuring and try to analyze curves, calculate and adjust corrections. But how accurate are the popular microphones and the curves they help to draw?

It's a highly subjective question of what sounds good or bad to each person, but fortunately there are solid handholds that bring some objectivity to the subject. What technical requirements does a playback system have to meet to be considered of high quality at all?
